He was predeceased by: his parents, James Encapera and Antoinini Campesi Encapera; his spouse LaVonda "Bonnie" Maynard; his daughter Leslie Miller; his son-in-law Richard Newton; and his siblings, Paul, Joe, Richard, Phyllis, Josie, Nin, Virginia and Carmelita.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Newton, Michele Spainhower (Craig), Nicki Encapera, Dea Hargrave (Roger), Michael Encapera, Steven Encapera (Natalie), Danise Petsel (Dave) and Lee Encapera (Cheree). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
