He is survived by: his parents, Judith Kay Bartels (Teets) of Mason, Illinois and Walter L. Sr. Bartels; and his siblings, Scott Bartels (Mary) of Mason, Mark Bartels of Mason, Illinois, Sheila Wilson (Jeffrey) of Mason and Barbara Smith (Stewart) of Louisville, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
