He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard P. Willis and Dorothy I. Willis (Compton); and his grandson Joshua Willis. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Willis of Mason; his children, Todd Willis (Irma) of Lubbock, Travis Willis of Watson, Tamera Pattie (Russell) of Jacksonville and Trinetta Verdeyen (Danny Barger) of Effingham; and his brother John Richard Willis (Debbie) of Centralia. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
