He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh E. Wharton and Esta Pearl Wharton (Siddens); and his siblings-in-law, Maurice Stock and Harriett Wharton. He is survived by: his wife Karen Wharton of Mason; his children, Shawn Wharton (Laura) of Mason, Brooke Wharton of Effingham and Nikki Quandt (Chris) of Effingham; his siblings, Gene Wharton of Altamont and Doris Stock of Decatur; his grandchildren, Brent Miller, Ashley Wharton, Colin Miller, Devan Quandt, Ali Wharton, Braeden "Jake" Quandt, Peyton Quandt and Sophia Seagle; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Holste and Lucas Miller.
