It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Edwin Higgs Sr. of Mason, Illinois, who passed away on September 3, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandmother J. Higgs (Hays); his wife Lavern Higgs; his children, Ervin Higgs (Sharon) of Dieterich, Kenny Higgs of Pensacola, Eddie Higgs (Jodi) of Mason, James Hardig (Debbie) of Hurst, Dean Hardig of Texico, Melissa Keller of Effingham, Judy Swift (Todd) of Urbana and Doris Gocken (Dennis) of Champaign; his siblings, Ivan Higgs (Suzie) of Mason, Dwight Higgs (Judy) of Jewett, Marvena Bowman (Kenneth) of Mason, Janice Cox of Mason and Rita JoAnn Boone (Tim) of Mason; his parent Delmar; and his brother-in-law David Cox. He was also cherished by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
