With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Reeda Charis in Mason City, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Reeda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Reeda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Reeda leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Grant and Stella Grant (Reid). She is survived by: her sons, Bill Jr. of Chicago and Robert of Champaign; her husband Bill Charis; and her siblings, Ellamarie Fitch and Robert Grant.
