He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Surratt and Irene Surratt (Pedigo); his sister Lois Maddox; and his son Garland E. Surratt, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Milee Smith (Mike), Debbie Wood (Gary), Clifford Surratt (Birgit), Wanda Surratt, Johnny Smith (Wendy), Michael Smith (Ryan), Shawn Surratt (Havannah) and Dakota Surratt-Kendall (Jonathan); his daughter-in-law Tammie Surratt; and his siblings, Willie Surratt (Barb) and Betty House. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
