He was predeceased by: his parents, Phineas Pierson and Lacona Pierson (Anderson); and his siblings, Karen Cox, Randy, Frankie, Danny, Jimmy Pierson, Raymond, Charles Fortney, Linda Boyd, Beverly Hill and Shirley Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Karrie Ferguson (Matthew) of Mason City, Lacona Pierson of Mason City, Jamie Pierson of Lincoln and Janie Pierson of Pekin; his grandchildren, Dominic Cafin, Sidney, Ryanne Liles and Dyllan Ferguson; his great grandchildren, Amelia Sherman and Valerie Brown; and his siblings, Stephen Pierson, Kathy Colson, Patty Arterdery, Kenny Fortney and Russell Fortney, Jr..
