He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Ganschinietz and Virginia M. Ganschinietz; and his brother Donald E. Ganschinietz. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn A. McGraw; his children, Lisa Sanders (Les) of Fairview Heights, Ill. and Glen Ganschinietz (Deepa) of Gahanna, Ohio; his granddaughter Jody Kathryn Ganschinietz of Grandview Heights, Ohio; and his brother-in-law Tom McGraw (Anna) of Springfield, MO.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society or St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah.
