We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2023, at the age of 83, Martha Ann Bernard of Mascoutah, Illinois, born in Columbia, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Burton and Annie Streeval Burton; her husband David Russell Bernard; her son Jesse Leslie Bernard; her siblings, Luther Burton, Albert Burton, Edgar Burton, Kenneth Burton, Edward Burton, Edith Bailey, Mary Kimbler and Izena Burton; and her son-in-law Phillip Blankenship.
She is survived by: her children, Paul David Bernard (Sandra) of Mascoutah, Michael Lewis Bernard (Theda) of Crestview, Jeffrey Lynn Bernard of Liberty, Kentucky and June Alice Blankenship of Paintsville, Kentucky; her brothers, Jack Burton (Kathy) of Byrdstown and Phillip Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Jesse Leslie Bernard II, Stacey Lynn York, Tiffany Ann Antle, David Ashley Bernard, Paul Anthony Bernard, Rebecca Ann Wiggins, Tara Shay Gifford, Ashley Michelle Harris, Katherine Ann Wright, Michael Lewis Bernard II, James Ray Blankenship, Noah Thomas Blankenship, Richard Tyler Bernard, Kayla Robin Bernard and Jordan Michael Veach. She is also survived by twenty-five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
