Sovar of Maryville, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Joseph A.; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Schallert; her granddaughter Mia Hickman; her great grandchild Lettie Nyland; her parents, Harry and Myrtle; and her siblings, Mary Lawler, Alice Childs, Sharon Cissell and George Hunt.
She is survived by: her husband John M. Sovar; her children, Edward W. Schallert (Diann) of St. Louis, MO, Catherine M. Hart (Paul) of Glen Carbon, IL and Susan E. Hickman (Todd) of Fenton, MO; her grandchildren, Meagan Nyland (Christopher), Paul J. Hart (Megan), Mary Schallert, Grace Schallert, Michael Hickman, Alex Schallert and Robbie Schallert; and her great grandchildren, Ragnar Nyland, Gunnar Nyland, Emma Hart and Olivia Hart.
As a former breast cancer survivor, Susie's family prefers that any memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
