He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Vaughn and Polly Vaughn (Schmidt); his brothers, Bob and Ed; his son-in-law Marvin Reno; his granddaughter Emily Vaughn; and his niece Tina Mode.
He is survived by: his children, Rick (Janet Vaughn), Joe (Janet Vaughn), Cheri Vaughn-Reno of O'Fallon, Michelle Hawthorne of St. Jacob and Melissa Vaughn (Dave Hatscher) of Granite City; his grandchildren, Natalie Hadley (Johnathon), Jamie Vaughn, Jason Vaughn (Nichole), Jennifer Miller (Chad), Justin Reno (Kim), Jonathan Vaughn, Taylor Reno and Jacob Hawthorne (Polly Hawthorne); his great grandchildren, Emma, Lyla, Lydia, Josephine, Alexandra, Bryce, Ava, Grant, Cooper, Bodin and Little Louie; his nieces, Cindy Brumhardt and Debbie Gudac; and his cousins, Rena Boyer, Janice Wilson and Trudy Mayo. He is also survived by wife of 71 years, he is survived by five children.
Memorial donations may be given to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
