He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Massa (Chapman); his parents, Joseph Massa and Martha Massa (Oram); his brothers, James Massa and Ronald "Tony" Massa; and his sister-in-law Geraldine Massa.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Kerkemeyer (Alan) of Maryville, IL, Lisa MacMillan (Pat) of Greenbrier, AR, Michael Massa (Vicki) of Gallatin, TN, Mark Massa (Diane) of Collinsville, IL, Matt Massa (Pam) of Troy, IL and Eric Massa (Kim) of Tifton, GA; his sister Martha Massa; and his sisters-in-law, Jodi Massa (Tony) and Shelby Chapman (James). He is also survived by grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd. (2800 N Center St, Maryville, IL 62062). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (200 N Lange Ave, Maryville, IL 62062). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:15 PM at the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery (636 E Main St, Collinsville, IL 62234).
