He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Vano and Nellie E. Vano (Gabriel); his former wife Kathy Vano (Gum); his sisters, Georgie Bleier and Rosie Crepps; and his nephews, Dean Crepps and Kurt Crepps.
He is survived by: his wife Cathleen L. Vano (Stranc); his son Stephen Vano; his nephew Tony (Melissa Crepps); his nieces, Angie (David Brickman), Diana (Jeff Kramer), Heather (George Carich) and Candy (Jim Reany); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Rhett, Bly Brickman, Josh Reany, Colton Crepps, Hannah, Emily Kramer, Gwyn, Penelope Carich and Jordan Reany; and his brothers-in-law, Louis Bleier and Don Crepps.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the American Heart Association.
