She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome Vieth and Helen Vieth; her husband John S. Schantz; her son Donald Edward Schantz; and her sister Mary Stahlhut.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Pashea of Maryville, IL, Jeff Schantz of Highland, IL, Jim Schantz (Ginger) of Collinsville, IL and Lori Bruggemann (Tom) of Highland, IL; her grandchildren, Justin Bruggemann (Claire Marchal), Adam Pashea, Alyssa Bruggemann (Jorden Buske), Kaitlynn Schantz, Emilee Schantz and Nicholas Schantz; her sisters, Darlene Stahlhut (Roy) of Edwardsville, IL and Judy Dorner (Doug) of Alton, IL; and her brother-in-law Larry Stahlhut of Edwardsville, IL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
