With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dalila Hernandez Garcia of Maryville, Illinois, who passed away on January 12, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lauriano Hernandez and Santos Garcia; and her grandson Michael Fraise. She is survived by: her children, Maria E. Miralda Hernandez, Gina Meyer (Paul), Jolker D. Contreras Hernandez, Carlos A. Hernandez and Reyna Hernandez (Jorge Ponce Hernandez); and her grandchildren, Johnny Torres, Maria Short (Matthew), Austin Canaday, Kayla Schulte (Justin), Cesar D. Contreras (Kayla Baker), Laura Gonzolas, Cristian J. Hernandez, Karla Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, George Ponce Hernandez, Ryan A. Ponce Hernandez and Ashley M. Ponce Hernandez. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home (515 Vandalia St, Collinsville, IL 62234). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephens Church (901 S Main St, Caseyville, IL 62232).
