He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack DeWitt and Mary DeWitt (Shyke); and his brothers, Steve DeWitt and Bob DeWitt. He is survived by: his wife Julie Pelehowski; his children, Erin Gwaltney (Delaney), Erica Carlson (Brent), Bethany DeWitt and Darren DeWitt; his grandchildren, Ty, Ava Carlson, Grayson, Ryder Gwaltney, Lennon DeWitt, Preston and Dylan DeWitt; his aunts, Eileen Ratliff (Shyke), Margaret Leveque (Shyke) and Betty DeWitt (Brown); his siblings, Kathy Webster (Kevin) and Charlie DeWitt (Pam); his former wife Julie DeWitt (Pelehowski); and his nieces and nephews, David DeWitt, Lindsay Maple (Webster), Teri Tincher (Webster), Danny DeWitt, Wesley DeWitt, Landon Webster and Emily Martin (DeWitt). He is also survived by 10 great-nieces and nephews.
