He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter L. Dickerson, Sr. and Virginia H. Smith Dickerson; his wife Jeannette McCarty Dickerson; his daughter Cindy Ann Dickerson; his sister Patty A. Antell; and his brother-in-law Fred Antell.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Zachary Dickerson (Amelia), Charlene Lange Reilly (Jason) and Keiffer P. Dickerson; his great grandchildren, Owen, Jase and Henry; his son Jeffrey Alan Dickerson of Columbus, IN; his nieces and nephews, Neeley Muncy, Maxi Paris, Shawn Antell, Dan Davis, Mike Davis, Keith Antell and Robbie Hull; his sister-in-law Patti Davis (Don); his father-in-law Robert McCarty; his daughters-in-law, Debbye Butler, Kathleen Dickerson and Cheryl Lange; his grandchild-in-law Morgan Lange; and his daughters-in-law, Moxie Mae and Doberman.

Cumberland St., Martinsville, IL 62442 or Cindy Ann Dickerson Memorial Scholarship Endowment at Lakeland College, 5001 Lake Land Blvd., Mattoon, IL 61938, for the continuing education of Martinsville High School senior girls that was established honoring his daughter, who passed in 1986 at age 20 years.
