It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonja Sue (McFarlin) Baird Brown of Martinsville, Illinois, born in West Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles C. McFarlin and Josephine E. McFarlin (Miller); her siblings, Bob McFarlin, Bill McFarlin, Jack McFarlin, Ralph McFarlin and Willa Mae Umphries; and her spouse Dale Baird.
She is survived by: her children, Perry Baird (Debra) of Martinsville, IL, Bart Baird of New Cumberland, WV and Janet Wood (Scott); her grandson Justin Baird (Amy) of Brownsburg, IN; and her children, Anthony Baird (Amber) of Casey, IL, Haley Summerfield (Zach) of Moatsville, WV and Casey Baird of Morgantown, WV. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
