He was predeceased by: his parents, David Luther Spittler and Ruby Leah Claypool Spittler; his wife Linda Lee Henderson; his daughter Elizabeth "Lynn" Herman; and his sister Merle Gregger.
He is survived by: his sons, Lawrence A. Spittler, Jr. (Shari) of Midland, TX and Mabron Lee Spittler (Jaime) of Hoffman, IL; and his grandchildren, Mandi Thompson (Jordan), Lawrence A. "Trey" Spittler III Sam Herman (Tori Ritz), Lauren Herman, Joshua Herman, Kalyn Worland (Weston), Mabron Spittler (Taylor) and Isabella Spittler. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and many cousins.
