He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wayne Steevens, Bill Steevens and Marie Page; and his daughter-in-law Lori Steevens. He is survived by: his wife Donna Phillips of Martinsville, IL; his children, John Steevens Jr. of Martinsville, IL, Joey Steevens (Natasha Vernon) of Casey, IL and Melodie Davis (Rick) of Philo, IL; his great grandchild Arika Davis; his children, Alexis, Aubrie, Ava of Philo, IL, Mitchell Davis (Sara), Henry of Bloomington, IL, Gabarielle Steevens of Marshall, IL and Mariah Steevens of Terre Haute, IN; and his brother Charlie Steevens of O'Fallon, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to either to the Martinsville United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Bethlehem Cemetery in Salem, IL.
