It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Marie Alford (Martinsville, Illinois), born in Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on April 28, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Jackson Smithson and Edna Clarine Tippit Smithson; her spouse Roy Lytton Alford; her sister Jewel StJohn of Manchester, TN; her daughter Patricia Dodd; and her son-in-law Olaf Grisham.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Alford of Paris, IL, Jim Dodd (Kay) of Martinsville, IL, Betty Burkett (Bob) of Marshall, IL, Sue Borders (Don) of Janesville, WI and Dorothy Grisham of Marshall. She is also survived by grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and eighteen great great grandchildren.
