He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Hutchens Sr. and Bessie G. Rhoades Hutchens; and his siblings, Mary Auld, Harlan Hutchens Jr. and Eleanor Hutchens.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Morecraft Hutchens; his daughters, Terry Lee Day (Dennis) of St. Louis, MO and Teresa Hutchens (Rod Miller) of Marshall; his grandchildren, Patrick Day, Tiffany Allen, Laura Akers (Josh), John Novak, Timothy Novak (Amy) and Janell Hinkelman (Steve); his great grandchildren, Sebastion Day of Nicolas Allen, J. D, Earl Akers, Mayson Novak, Teddy Akers, Liam Novak and Esther Akers; his siblings, Herb Hutchens (Donna), Frances Kraemer (Bob), Jane Silverberg (David) and Douglas "Butch" Hutchens (Susie); and his friend Susie Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
