He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Newkirk; and his stepfather Bob Stephen. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Hall Newkirk; his siblings, Sandra Lederman (Larry) and Rick Newkirk (Franda); and his stepsiblings, Gloria Scott, Neoma Mullin and Larry Stephen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
