He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hargis and Bonnie Waller Hargis; and his siblings, Bessie Weaver, Juanita Wernz, Fred Hargis, Elbia Hargis, Glen Hargis and Roy Hargis.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Switzer Hargis; his children, Terry Hargis and Debbie Darr (Bubby); his grandchildren, Bill Darr, Sarah Sweet, Jesse Hargis, Jordan Hargis, Chase Darr, Grady Darr and Cameron Scott; and his great great grandchild Beckham Darr.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pearce Funeral Home (314 S 6th St, Marshall, IL 62441). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
