Richard Gustafson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Gustafson of Marshall, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on December 29, 2022 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland Gustafson and Marjorie Donaldson Gustafson; his parents-in-law, Harold and Helen Wernz; his nephew Christopher Gustafson; and his brother-in-law Earl Warner.

He is survived by: his wife Cartha Wernz; his children, Randy Gustafson (Miranda) and Dallas Gustafson (Katie) of Marshall; his grandchildren, Kyla, David and Rolland Gustafson of Marshall; his brothers, Michael Gustafson (Sue) of Marshall and Robert Gustafson (Cinda) of Flora, IN; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Wernz, Jim Wernz (Sue) and Jane Warner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Schools Music Boosters Camp Scholarship Fund and the Marshall City Band.
