It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W. Behrndt of Marshall, Illinois, born in Michigan City, Indiana, who passed away on November 20, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Behrndt and Verna Wright Behrndt; his son Jon Behrndt; his grandson Gunnar Behrndt; and his brothers, Harrison Behrndt and Henry Behrndt.
He is survived by: his spouse Pequita Watkins; his daughters, Deborah Bartnick (Michael) of Marshall, IL and Melinda Janosky (Michael) of Noblesville, IN; and his grandchildren, Lauren Bartnick, Jospeh Bartnick (Jessica), Brendan Bartnick (Savannah), Zachary Bartnick (Madison), Lucas Bartnick (Carter), Griffin Janosky, Kathryn Janosky and Samantha Behrndt. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
