It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harley Bennet of Marshall, Illinois, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bennet and Margaret Klarik Bennet; his wife Ruth Ann Hurst; and his grandchildren, Daniel Hutson and Sophie Gubbins.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Irwin of Marshall, IL, Rachel Gubbins (Bruce) of Champaign, IL and Dr. Joseph Bennet of Seattle, WA; his grandchildren, Eric Hutson, Katherine Weathers, Maxwell Gubbins, Samuel Gubbins, Olivia Bennet and Lucas Bennet-Ngo; and his sister Sandy Randall of Paris, IL.. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Harlan Hall (603 Locust St, Marshall, IL 62441).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memorium to the Clark County Historical Society and the Marshall Public Library can be made.
