She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyal E. Huey and Dorothy M. Huey (Miller); her husband David Carpenter; her sisters, Tanya Huey and Patricia Bennett; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Carpenter.

She is survived by: her nephews, Michael L. Millage (Jennifer) of Marshall and Roger A. Millage of Charleston, Illinois; and her niece Margo Oachs of Tennessee.
