It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn L. Shotts of Marshall, Illinois, born in Eustis, Florida, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Martin and Stella Wright Martin; her spouse Gene Shotts; her brothers, Wayne and Darrell Martin; her nephew Kyle Nickles; and her grandmother Sunshine.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Garling (Mike), Greg Shotts (Karen) and Dee Dee Rhoads (Mike); her grandchildren, Kristi Garling (Gus), Josh Garling (Brittney), Dusty Shotts (Jamie), Tyler Shotts (Dru), Ryan Hefner (Shelby), Dalton Hefner (Karlee), Connor Hefner (Zoey), Jamie Kiefner (Tim) and Christine Scifres (Dana); her brother Ron Martin (Donna); and her close friends, Irene, Arnold Skor and Lady Stella Kitty. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
