It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl M. Wernz of Marshall, Illinois, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold M. Wernz and Helen Willmann Wernz. He is survived by: his daughters, Lundie Wernz of Paris, IL and Carie Jansen (Paul) of Marshall, IL; his grandchildren, Maddison Plummer, Dalton Plummer, Kindall Plummer, Gage Jansen and Bryer Jansen; his siblings, Jane Warner (late Earl Warner) of Marshall, Cartha Gustafson (late Richard Gustafson) of Marshall and Jim Wernz (Sue) of West Union, IL; and his pet Sadie. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
