He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen "Bud" and Elaine Spencer (Carlson). He is survived by: his wife Tracy Booth of Mobile; his children, Kevin, Morgan Spencer, Jacob Mattes and Paul Hawkins; his sister Sally Spencer; and his close friend Craig M. Cuchra. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles Nursing Service.
