She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Potter and Mary Ethel Schmidt (Stevens); and her brother Wilbur Loyd Schmidt. She is survived by: her husband James Robert Upton, Sr; her children, Tammy Jo Schmidt of Marseilles and James Robert Upton, Jr.; and her cousins, Janice Kay Jackson and Debra Sue Mallwick. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
