He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Newman and Fannie Lou Newman (Summers); his children, Vernon Newman (Kayla Hoyt), Alicia Pierson (John) and Michael Newman (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Tripp Newman, Carter, Kennedy Pierson, Rory and Sophia Newman; and his siblings, JoAnn Teele (Mark), Gary Newman, Judy Spicer, Patricia Newberry (John) and Joan. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
