He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Harper and Clara Harper (Lanham); and his granddaughter Amber Thaler. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Heimonen of Chicago; his children, Dr. Sabrina Harper Hudson (Carl), Robert Harper (Kira), Gary Harper (Lee Pham), Cynthia Hengst and Bill Hengst; his grandchildren, Shelby and Jenna Harper; and his brother Larry Harper.
