He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilfred and Elizabeth Douglas Grove (Thom); his wife Yvonne Dolores Giro of New Orleans; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his daughters, Victoria Betzold of Roanoke, TX and Cherie Dorton (Gary) of Marseilles; his grandchildren, Nicole Rafferty, Jennifer Does (Mike), Amanda Whiteside (Johnny), Michael Dorton, Don Betzold (Jacy) and Debra Betzold; his sister Esther Mae Hussey (Harry) of Atlanta, GA; and his sister-in-law Kay Grove of Romeoville. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Marseilles Ambulance Service or the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle.
