He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Pell of Standard, WV; his children, Jill Patterson (John) of Marseilles, Brian Phalen (Lisa) of Hoffman Estates and Robert Phalen (Allison) of Decator, GA; his grandchildren, Joshua, Joelle, Justine, Noah, Samuel, Oliver, Ella and Amelia; and his brothers, Robert Nathan and Ralph Phalen (Connie).
