He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey L. Cox and Hazel Cox (Hughes); and his grandson Bryan Morse. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis A. Polmanteer; his children, Nancy Cox of Bloomington, Diana "Susie" Chance (Ralph) of Marquette Heights, Sandy Morse of Tremont and Jerry Cox (Connie) of Pekin; and his grandchildren, Jenny Cox of Chandler, Steven Cox of Pekin, Danny Cox (Chelsea) of Pekin, Eric Chance (Kristen) of Albuquerque, Eran Chance of Pekin, Rissa Chance of Marquette Heights, Jeremy Chance of Marquette Heights, Jenny Morse of Pekin and David Morse (Ashley) of Lincoln. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
A masonic service will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554).
