He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth G. Conkling and Margaret A. Conkling (Drynan); and his brother Alvin Conkling. He is survived by: his wife Brenda L. Lingle; his son William Scott Conkling of Pekin; his grandchild Tasha Conkling; his siblings, Keith Conkling (Mary Jane) of Hopedale, Larry Conkling (Ida) of Pekin, Sharon Landry (Judy Lorch) and Marcia Cheshier (William Conkling) of Coleta; and his friends, Jim Burdette, Allen Hayes (Steve) and Stacy Wood.
