He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simpson and Helen Simpson Sr. (Pitts); his sisters, Bethann Bartholomew and Susan Simpson; and his close friend Rick Spitzig.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Morris; his children, Melissa Bushnell (Mike) of Peoria, Elaine Simpson of Tucson, Arizona, Mike Bell of Elmwood, George Simpson (Jennifer) of Tucson and Steven Morris of Marquette Heights; and his siblings, Paul Simpson (LeAnn) of Iowa, Lee Simpson (Connie) of Kansas City, Missouri and Linda Scott (David) of Kansas City. He is also survived by five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
