It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Legate of Marissa, Illinois, born in Racine, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 2, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Buford and Juanita Lucille Legate (Fresen). He is survived by: his wife Katherine Legate (Bridges); his children, Misty (David Scott) and Derek (Rhonda Legate); his grandchildren, Jared Lewis of Granite City, Darian, Kaylin Glenn of Granite City, Tommy, Lauren Schmidt of Dorsey, IL, Cody Schmidt of Granite City, Emily Scott of Troy, IL and Dylan Scott of Granite City; his great grandchildren, Jack Glenn and Caroline Schmidt; and his siblings, Alan (Suzi Legate), Sheila (Rich Rizzolo) and Karen (Bob Amstuz). He is also survived by family members and friends.
