It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Bergfeld Sr. of Marissa, Illinois, born in Percy, Illinois, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Bergfeld and Nellie Bergfeld (McIntyre). He is survived by: his children, John A. Bergfeld Jr. (Sharon) of Carbondale, IL and Brenda Ogilvie (Tim) of Jackson, MO; and his grandchildren, Breanna Kiefer (Justin), Lauren Pilcher (Aaron), Evan Bergfeld (Elizabeth), Jessica Bergfeld, Tarik Ogilvie and Trenton Ogilvie. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Homes in Sparta for the Bergfeld Family to donate as they designate at a later date.
