It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Moody Paul of Marissa, Illinois, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Antoinette Lorraine Moody. She is survived by: her children, Mellanie Sue Portz (Bill), Rebecca Kaye Paul and Michael Bradley Paul (Thom); her grandchildren, Brent (Kim), Brooke (Dan), Brad (Lynn), Skylar (Paige) and Marissa (Dylan); and her great grandchildren, Kade, Bree, Brock, Chance, Reese, Kalli, Milli, Kamdyn, Bretsyn, Hatcher and Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tilden Scholarship Fund in her memory.

I was blessed to have her as my 1st grade teacher, but she then became my mentor, friend and like Family. I will miss getting the sweet letters in the mail with her trademark drawings in the corner. She will always hold a special place in my heart and the Memories with her will be treasured forever. Prayers for Peace for her Family and all who loved her. She brought so much to this world!”
