It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Schwalb Macke of Marissa, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Macke; her parents, John Schwalb and Evelyn Schwalb (Laumbattus); and her siblings, David, Robert and Teri Schwalb.
She is survived by: her sons, John Paul Macke (Brenda) and Eric Macke; her siblings, Laurie Schwalb, Mary Snyder (Troy) and Jim Schwalb (Laura); her nieces and nephews, Fred Meister (Shelly), Deana Thomas, Aaron Macke (Katie), Elizabeth Hatfield (Phillip), William, Dan, Luz Schwalb, Jess and Abby Snyder; her grandchildren, Eden, Isaac and Elliot Macke; her great-niece Charlie Weymouth (Seth); and her great-nephew Quinn Macke.
Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
