He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Derwort and Jessie Derwort (Powell). He is survived by: his wife Donna Sue Derwort (Bails) of Marissa; his children, Marcus James Derwort (Stephanie) of Freeburg, IL and Jackie Haines (Talley) of Mobile, AL; and his grandchildren, Alex, Lydia Derwort, Melaina and Maria Haines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be made to Crown Hospice of Cape Girardeau, MO, St. Agatha Catholic Church in New Athens, IL, the Marissa Rec. Area or to the Alzheimer's Association.
