It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles J. Schmidt of Marissa, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Schmidt and Marie Schmidt (Moehlinhoff); his wife Janice J. Stunkel; his siblings, Elmer Schmidt and Norma Lich; and his nephew Alan Schmidt.
He is survived by: his son Gary Schmidt (Mindy) of Waterloo, IL; his grandchildren, Isabella and Brayden Schmidt; and his nieces and nephews, Rodney Schmidt (Diane), Elmer Schmidt (Lynn), Bobby Lich (Kathy), Jeana Schmidt and Karen McCollum.
Memorials are encouraged to be made to Frieden's UCC Church in Marissa, IL.
