Catherine D. Kane Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine D. Kane of Marissa, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Catherine D. Kane to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Gutjahr and Amanda Gutjahr (Fenner); her husband Charles Kane; her son Mark Kane; and her siblings, Robert, Thomas Gutjahr, Viola Spellman and Judith Robb.
She is survived by: her son Randal Kane (Joyce) of Swansea, IL; her daughter-in-law Florence Kane of Marissa, IL; her siblings, Charles Gutjahr of Coulterville, IL, Albert Gutjahr of Nashville, IL and Barbara Jetton of Coulterville, IL; her grandchildren, Christopher Kane and Rachel Kane Owen; her stepgrandchildren, Kelly Whitney and James Gleeson; and her great grandchildren, Molly Kane, Matthew Owen, Lucas Owen, Nicholas Whitney, Catherine Whitney, Charlotte Gleeson, Jack Gleeson, Lucy Gleeson, Parker, Killian and J. J. Weiss.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (611 W Broadway St, Sparta, IL 62286). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
