It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Almara A. Kinzel of Marissa, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph (Margaret) and Lehr. She is survived by: her husband Melvin V. Kinzel; her children, Larry O. Kinzel (Eva) of New Athens, Illinois. and Joann Emge (Richard Brown) of Nashville, Illinois.; her grandchildren, Chad Kinzel (Valerie), Daniel Emge (Sara) and Elizabeth Cassidy (Christopher); her great grandchildren, Jack Ryan Kinzel, Lily Ann Emge, Lucy Amelia Emge, Sadie Margaret Emge, James Daniel Cassidy and Anna King Cassidy; and her sister Charlotte Shaw (Rob) of Freeburg, Illinois..

Memorials may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or to the Health and Wellness Foundation of Sparta Community Hospital.
