He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Leroy "Roy" and Eva Alice "Allie" Atwood (Collard); his wife Patsy Ruth Webb; his son-in-law Richard Jack; and his siblings, Roger Atwood, Donald Atwood, Norris Atwood, Kenneth Atwood, Edna Ellis and Dorothy Alexander.
He is survived by: his caregivers, Dixie Conley, Shane Taylor, Lili McBride, Ronda Davis, Pam Bailey, Heather Duplantis, Cindy Evans and Cathy Peeler; his son Charles W.; his daughter-in-law Paula Atwood (Billingsley) of Vienna, IL; his children, Becky Jack of Marion, IL and Gordon D.; his daughter-in-law JoEllen Atwood of Marion, IL; his grandchildren, Caleb Atwood, Rachel Dawkins (Ken), Renee Strunk (Ryan), Ranie Verby (Doug), Joseph Atwood and Ellie Perez (Jon); his great grandchildren, Gene, Katelyn Covey, Jackson, Lily Strunk, River and Reagan Verby; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Mae Blue (Webb) and L. D. Bowers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other extended family and many friends.
The family has requested for those who would prefer, memorial contributions may be made to the "Donald Adams", to be used for the benefit of Cana Cemetery located near Creal Springs, IL. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home or may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion, IL, 62959.
