It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Caplinger of Marion, Illinois, born in Pittsburg, Illinois, who passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Lee and Euva Nadine Caplinger (Tanner); and his son Daniel Caplinger. He is survived by: his wife Carol Caplinger of Marion; his children, Timothy Wayne Caplinger (Yvette) of Tampa, FL., Tom Caplinger (Denise) of Creal Springs, Deborah Joy Caplinger of Goreville, Amy Pryor (Ed) of Pittsburg and Lorie; his stepchildren, Rich Taylor (Rhonda) of Johnston City and Debbie Lynn York (Danny) of Johnston City; his grandchildren, Daniel, Casey, Miranda, Austin, Clay, Matthew, Dakota, Samantha, Gabriel, Caleb, Josiah, Isaiah, Micah, Brandon, Gavin, Michael and Brittini; his sister Wilma Simmons (Steve) of Marion; and his sisters-in-law, Debbie Hurt (Ken) of Marion and Anita Binns (Jon) of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
